Intern Matching

This page explains how intern matching is handled within SupervisionFit and what supervisors and interns can expect during early rollout.

What happens on the intern side

Interns complete a structured intake that mirrors the supervisor intake in purpose and depth. The goal is to understand how an intern works, what they are seeking in supervision, and what conditions tend to support a productive supervision relationship.

Information collected includes supervision preferences, clinical interests, learning goals, and logistical needs. Written responses are used to provide context that supports informed review rather than surface-level screening.

How potential matches are surfaced

SupervisionFit does not offer public listings or open browsing. Potential matches are surfaced only when there is strong alignment across supervision approach, expectations, and practical considerations.

When a potential match is identified, it is shared with the supervisor for review. The supervisor decides whether to proceed. Introductions occur only if the supervisor chooses to move forward.

Declining a potential match does not affect future matching.

Timing during early rollout

SupervisionFit is building in phases, beginning with supervisors. Establishing a well-described supervisor base first supports stronger alignment once intern participation opens.

Introductions begin as alignment develops across both sides of the system. Supervisors who complete the intake during early rollout establish their profiles early in the matching process, allowing relationships to form with clarity and intention.

Scope and boundaries

SupervisionFit facilitates supervision matching and introductions. It does not provide clinical supervision, therapy, or oversight of supervision relationships. All supervision arrangements and ongoing work remain between supervisors and interns.

SupervisionFit is not yet open for intern intake.

Intern onboarding will open once a sufficient supervisor base is in place to support thoughtful matching. This pacing is intentional and is meant to support better supervision outcomes once intern participation begins.
